Hey! I’m Jimmy, an experienced CPA driven to build a business that simplifies tax preparation and inspires individuals to think differently about their personal finance.

With nearly 17+ years (aka ‘tax seasons’, as us CPAs track it) delivering tax services to business and individual clients, I am experienced in and passionate about helping anyone interested in improving their personal tax, financial, or entrepreneurial lives!

You may be wondering, ‘why the name "FIRE CPA for Hire?" ‘FIRE’ is the acronym for Financially Independent, Retired Early, which is a recent financial movement of sorts. The FIRE movement has helped many, me included, realize that a high salary is not required to become financially wealthy, and we are not required to wait until traditional retirement age to retire - or at least 'rewire' our careers and lifestyles - to intentionally build a life aligned with our core goals and motivations.

Over the past two decades I developed a skillset in taxes along with a passion for entrepreneurship and the concepts of financial independence. I decided it was time to take action for myself and ‘rewired’ my own life and career by leaving a great company and job for the unknown. I believed I would ‘figure it out’. This is why I decided to start FIRE CPA for Hire (and named it as such).

Outside of my career, I enjoy fitness (running, cross-training, rec sports, etc), cheering on my hometown teams (the Indiana Hoosiers, Pacers, and Colts), and attempting to write and record music on my guitar at home. I volunteer at my church as a member of the host team. And as you can tell from the rest of my bio, I am passionate about financial independence and the freedom it can offer to anyone interested in it!
